The requirements for applying for the Expert Certification Level are:

The ISTQB® CT Foundation Level Certificate;
An ISTQB® CT Advanced Level Certificate, depending on the Expert module desired;
Have successfully completed the Expert Level Exam;
At least 5 years of proven practical experience in software testing;
At least 2 years of industry experience in the specific Expert Level topic.

*CT Specialist Level - Test Automation Engineer

Version 1.0 of the Certificate Level Specialist Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE) will be discontinued, giving way to the new version 2.0.
For this reason, these Exams will be available until:

June 12th, 2025 (in English);
December 12th, 2025 (in the remaining languages).

*CT Advanced Level - Test Manager

Version 2.0 of the Level Certificate Advanced Test Manager (CTAL-TM) will be discontinued, giving way to the new version 3.0. For this reason, these Exams will be available until

May 30th, 2025 (in English);
November 30th, 2025 (in the remaining languages).
