3 Considerations for Hiring Testers

When working with testers (or testing service companies) software), there are three important considerations to remember:

  1. The general communication failures can disrupt interaction between project elements and teams.
    When it comes to software it's important to use a common language and follow common principles;

  2. The differences in terminology tests can represent a considerable risk.
    The use of unclear definitions or terms in the context of a testing services company can be detrimental in the sense that it can lead to errors or require the reorganization of specific work.

  3. The differences in testing principles can cause disagreements or conflicts.
    When the subject of software following a certain set of principles, and the testers follow other paths, then we could have project management problems, as well as friction between the elements.

Fortunately, there's an easy way to avoid most of these problems: make sure that the testing professionals of software have an ISTQB® Foundation Certification.

Remember that by including certified testers, you are increasing your project's chances of success.
